Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Rohith Boddeda(“we”), the operator of Vegus OMR. By creating an account or using the Service you accept them.

The Service

Vegus OMR lets educational institutes create exams, map their own OMR answer-sheet layouts, scan filled sheets with a camera or from the gallery, and receive auto-graded results with exports. Features vary by plan.

Accounts & institutes

• You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• An institute’s admin controls its team: inviting and removing members and managing billing. Data created under an institute belongs to that institute.
• You must be legally capable of entering this agreement and use the Service only for lawful purposes.

Plans, trial & limits

• New institutes receive a 14-day Pro trial, no payment method required. After the trial, the institute moves to the Free plan unless subscribed.
• Each plan carries usage limits (scans per month, team seats, active exams, saved templates) shown on the pricing page. When a limit is reached, the corresponding action is blocked until you upgrade or the period resets.
• We may adjust plan pricing or limits with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.

Payments & renewal

• Paid subscriptions are billed in INR through Razorpay, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled.
• If a renewal payment fails, your plan continues for a 7-day grace period; if payment is not completed, the institute moves to Free-plan limits. Your data is not deleted.
• You can cancel anytime from the billing page; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

Your content

Exams, templates, scanned sheets, and student records remain yours (your institute’s). You grant us the right to store and process them solely to operate the Service. You are responsible for having the right to upload the content you submit — including any student information on scanned sheets.

Acceptable use

• No attempting to access another institute’s data, probing, or disrupting the Service.
• No reselling the Service without our written consent.
• No uploading unlawful content or content you lack rights to.

Accuracy disclaimer

Automated OMR detection is highly accurate but not infallible — image quality, lighting, and marking style affect results, and ambiguous marks are flagged for human review. The Service is a grading aid: institutes are responsible for reviewing results before acting on them, especially for high-stakes decisions.

Availability & liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections that by nature survive (liability, your content, disputes) survive termination.

Governing law & contact
